MeLCat

MeLCat Statewide Catalog

MeLCat Statewide Catalog is the centralized union catalog and resource sharing service created to share materials among all types of libraries in Michigan, regardless of the local circulation system they use. MeLCat contains holdings from all participating libraries new-window-icon.png. While the ability to search MeLCat is open to everyone, only eligible patrons from participating libraries may request materials to be delivered to their home libraries.

 MeLCat does not replace a local integrated library system (ILS) and includes:

MeL new-window-icon.png is a statewide service of the Library of Michigan new-window-icon.png, an agency of the Michigan Department of Education. The Library of Michigan contracts with MCLS and partners with a number of Michigan organizations and institutions to provide MeL services. The MeL project was made possible in part by the Institute of Museum and Library Services new-window-icon.png through the Library of Michigan new-window-icon.png.
